Educación Sin Barreras

The cordillera can train its own engineers.

The engineer your operation will need in fifteen years is in his third year of secondary school right now, a few hours from your camp. If nobody teaches him physics, he will not get there — and the vacancy will keep being filled from Lima.

Why a kid from Matacoto never reaches engineering

In Matacoto there are kids solving geometry problems on the floor of the schoolyard, with coloured paper, because there is nothing else. Talent is not the bottleneck. The bottleneck is that nobody teaches trigonometry or physics at university-entrance level, that there is no internet at home, and that the nearest exam-prep academy costs what the family does not have. The outcome repeats every year: the kids with the best heads for science finish school, fail the entrance exam, and the region keeps importing its professionals.

You are not funding an idea

Already done

  • The platform is under construction and already running
  • Arithmetic complete and published
  • Part of the content for the seven subjects already produced
  • Signed request from both schools in Matacoto
  • The house for the future lab, identified

Still missing

  • Equipping the lab: 50 computers and internet
  • Producing the remaining content for the seven subjects
  • Sustaining the program until the first cohort sits its entrance exam

What your company funds

The Matacoto lab

Fifty computers with internet in a house that is already identified, open free of charge until dark. It carries your company’s name.

One of the seven subjects

Physics, Chemistry or Trigonometry, produced end to end and published for good. Your company’s name goes in the credits, and every student who comes after uses it.

A full cohort

So that the final-year students of both schools reach the entrance exam as prepared as a kid from Lima.

How you verify it

  • A quarterly report with dated photos, minutes signed by the schools and real student progress.
  • Your name on the piece you funded, and on the material that documents it.
  • Material ready for your sustainability report, with figures your team can quote without rewriting.
  • An open door in Matacoto: you can go and see it whenever you want, unannounced.
  • A donation receipt for your accounting department.

How it gets started

    1Dossier request
    2Meeting and scope definition
    3Signed agreement
    4Execution and quarterly reporting

Frequently asked questions

Where is the program being set up?
The program is being set up in the district of Matacoto, province of Yungay, Áncash region, with the San Martín de Porres and Santa Inés schools. The goal for 2027 is to reach more than one district within Áncash.
Management decides the contribution, but accounting has to record it. Are you in order?
Yes. A duly constituted Peruvian NGO, tax ID (RUC) 20611226951, qualified by SUNAT as an authorised recipient of donations. Every contribution gets its receipt, and we make all supporting documentation available to your accounting department.
How do I verify the contribution reached the students?
Through the quarterly report: dated photos, minutes signed by the schools and student progress. And by visiting — you can go to Matacoto whenever you want, unannounced.
Is the program already running?
The educational platform is under construction and already running: Arithmetic is complete and published. In Matacoto the program has not started yet. Both schools have already requested it in writing and the lab is waiting to be equipped. That is exactly what gets funded.
Why school education and not a short technical training course?
Because the bottleneck comes earlier. A kid who never took trigonometry does not get into an engineering faculty, and no three-month course fixes that. Training a professional takes fifteen years and starts in secondary school.
Can I fund only one part?
Yes. The program is split into identifiable pieces — the lab, one of the seven subjects, one cohort — precisely so a company can take a single one and see it finished.
